What we hold, and what we don't.
The reserve keeps as little as it can. This page sets out exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.
I. What we collect from visitors
Basic, non-identifying request data — page URL, referring page, browser and device family, and coarse geographic region — collected through privacy-respecting analytics for the sole purpose of understanding how the reserve is read. We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not build cross-site profiles of visitors.
II. What we collect from clinic members
From a recognized practice we hold only what is necessary to administer membership and to keep a listing accurate: point-of-contact name and email, practice details for the profile, and, when a portal is provided, analytics limited to that clinic's own listing — profile views, click-throughs to its website and social channels, and the sources those visits arrived from. A clinic never sees data about any other clinic in the reserve.
III. Payment data
Membership is billed through a third-party payment processor. Card numbers and full payment credentials are handled by that processor and are never stored on our systems. We retain only the minimum billing metadata (customer identifier, invoice history, subscription status) required to administer the account.
IV. What we do not do
We do not sell reader or member data. We do not share reader or member data with advertisers or brokers. We do not permit third-party trackers on the reserve. Editorial decisions are not informed by analytics — a clinic's traffic figures cannot buy, adjust, or protect its recognition.
V. Cookies
We use a small set of first-party cookies necessary for site function and, in the clinic portal, for authentication. Analytics are configured to avoid persistent cross-site identifiers.
VI. Access, correction & deletion
Any visitor or member may request a copy of the data we hold about them, ask for corrections, or request deletion, subject to our obligation to retain records necessary for tax, billing, or legal purposes. Requests are received at editor@protocolreserve.co and answered by the editors, not by an automated system.
